• Shōta Imanaga has been the ninth most valuable pitcher in baseball by fWAR. He has the eleventh highest K-BB%, just below Luis Castillo and Zack Wheeler. He has the surface numbers of an ace, and the underlying numbers of a good #2 starter.
• Keegan Thompson got three more whiffs on his four-seam fastball last night. That's the third time he's done that this year, after managing it just once last year.
• Alexander Canario and Mike Tauchman are the only Cubs outfielders who rate positively by Statcast's Outs Above Average.
